Deco XE75 Pro firmware with VPN support
The current firmware does not support VPN server. Will you have a release for this router?
Many thanks.

Hi, I think this firmware version added the VPN server/client.
Did you set the Deco XE75 Pro to wireless router mode? Can I have a screenshot of the page on the Deco APP>More?
By the way, what is the current internet connection type under Deco APP>More> Internet Connection?
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

David, many thanks.
The router has been setup in WI-FI router mode with dynamic IP for the internet connection type. I configured the OpenVPN server with the VPN server address. However, I was not able to connect my VPN server from outside. The VPN port kept closed even though I had changed to any others from the default.
Best regards.

Hi, I think you can check the IPV4 address on the Deco XE75 Pro.
It is very likely that it is a private local reversed IP address, and there is one more firewall/NAT protection out of Deco.
(You can find your current public IP address here:https://whatismyipaddress.com/)
If you plan to connect to the VPN server on Deco, you might need to set port-forwarding rules on the front router.
Thank you very much and best regards.

Many thanks for your reply.
My IPV4 address does not seem to be reserved and I did not set up any rule for firewall protection.
I just want to use the OpenVPN client from remote to connect to my Deco VPN server.
I am wondering how to setup the proper port-forwarding on my Deco router. Could you please provide some instructions?
Many thanks.
Best regards

Hi, Thanks for the update.
Are you saying that the IPv4 address on the Deco APP>More>Internet Connection is the same as what is displayed here-https://whatismyipaddress.com/?
If it is, we don't need to open ports on Deco.
Previously, I wanted to say that if it isn't a public IP address or these two IP addresses are different, we need to open ports on the ISP-provided gateway, not Deco.
Wait for your reply and best regards.
