TL-WN821N stopped working after 1 hour
Region : Belgium
Model : TL-WN821N
Hardware Version : V4
Firmware Version : Ver.4.2
ISP :
Hi there,
I bought a Wireless N USB adapter: TL-WN821N V4.2
Installed it on a clean (formatted) pc and immediatly it worked great, downloading at 2MB/sec while the router is two floors down.
But one hour later it was only able to DETECT networks and not to connect to any of them.
Since then I tried alot:
- Reboot router
- Reinstall driver
- went into pc-management to check WLAN config (was OK)
- checked firewall
- complete system restore to point where it was installed for the first time
- even more crazy: Format pc again and under exact same conditions as first time.
- tried other driver: REALTEK RTL8192CU Wireless LAN 802.11n USB2.0 utility
All with same diagnostics: I'm able to see every network in the area (BTW great reach!) but can't connect to any of'm.
This forum is my true last resort for answers.
One simple but maybe great question: How can I check if the stick (hardware) itself is still working properly?
Maybe just bad luck?
Or is there still another solution left for me to try?
Sorry for long story and maybe faulty english,
but thanks to all who are willing to help!
