Hello, is there a setting on the Deco X50-5G that allows Wi-Fi devices to communicate with each other?
On the Archer NX200, for example, this function can be selected under Advanced Settings / Wi-Fi Settings / Advanced Settings (it should be Isolate Wi-Fi clients from each other).
On a Fritzbox, for example, it says Wi-Fi clients are allowed to communicate with each other.

I find this setting quite important.
Example in my case: I use a solar system from Ecoflow with battery storage and smart plugs (controllable plugs in the Ecoflow system) that allow solar energy to be sent directly to the connected smart plugs.

In my case, the plugs and everything else appear on the Wi-Fi network, and everything is also included in the Ecoflow app, but since the devices can't communicate with each other, direct allocation isn't possible; only consumption is visible.

Can this function possibly be installed via a firmware update, or is it not available for the Deco?

Thank you very much

Hi, Thanks for the feedback.

Under the Main WiFi network or IoT Network, devices can communicate with each other by default. The guest network is isolated from the Main/IoT networks.

So in your case, if both smart plugs and Solar Ecoflow are connected to the main WiFi network or IOT network, they should be able to communicate with each other. It doesn't need extra configurations.

Best regards.

Hi,
Thanks for your answer.
I have two inverters in the network.
One runs on the regular Wi-Fi and the other on the guest Wi-Fi.
I have smart plugs in both networks, physically separated.
However, they don't communicate with each other in either.

If they're isolated in the guest Wi-Fi, that explains one part.

However, they don't communicate with each other in the regular Wi-Fi either.
All Ecoflow devices only use the 2.4 GHz band, and there isn't a separate one set up for 2.4.

So 2.4 & 5 use the same thing.

This is also the case in the guest network, but that's been resolved ;)

Thank you very much

Hi, Can I have the current firmware of your Deco X50-5G?

There is a 1.2.0 beta firmware here that added IoT network. You can enable the IoT network that is set to the 2.4GHz band by default.

Then you can connect the solar inverter and smart plugs to the 2.4GHz IoT network to test whether they can properly communicate with each other.

Deco X50-5G_V1_1.2.0 with IoT and CPU Optimization

By the way, have you tested other network devices over the regular main WiFi network? Are they able to ping and access each other?

Thank you very much and best regards.
