Hi everyone!

 

I'm trying to add a satellite Deco X-20 to my Deco Mesh network, but the Android App can't find it. I have alreary reset it and the LED is blinking blue as expected indicating that it is ready to be configured. A weird thing I noticed is that the factory SSID that should be broadcasted doens't appear in the list of Wi-Fi networks on my cellular. Instead appear others two different from the one that is labled in the product tag.

 

Is there any other way to add the satellite Deco X-20 besides using the Deco app? Is it possible to connect it from a computer directly using an Ethernet cable?

Hi, welcome to our community.

You may refer to the guide to check your steps again: How to add an additional unit to your Deco network
1. Move the main Deco, satellite Deco, and phone close to each other. It would be better to be in the same room.
2. Use an Ethernet cable to connect the main Deco to the new satellite Deco when setting up.
3. Go to the phone's Wi-Fi setting to check again, please share screenshot of the SSID showing in the list of Wi-Fi networks, and tell the default SSID on the label of the Deco X20.

1. Move the main Deco, satellite Deco, and phone close to each other. It would be better to be in the same room.

Hi, thanks for answering me!

 

See the screenshot of my smartphone showing the Wifi networks. As you can see, the SSID that the x20 is broacasting is different from that one in the label of the product (Deco_E23C). Every time I restart the unit, it broacasts two different SSID (one for 2.4 GHz and another for 5 GHz band) and both are aways different from the label.

If so, there may be something wrong with this Deco. It is suggested to contact the retailer or local support to confirm warranty.
