Hello. I've been using a TP-LINK WR841N router which made me angry in the last weeks. When I've used Windows 8 and 8.1, the router worked fine, on N Type connection with download speed of 72mbps. Wasn't too high but acceptable. I could download torrents with 5MB/s. Since I've upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 Tech Preview the connection between my laptop and my router is not N Type, only G so the connection status shows 54mbps and download speed doesn't exceed 2.2-2.5MB/s. If I select from router "N Type Only" connection, my laptop doesn't recognize it, but my phone and tablet can access it. At my girlfriend home I can connect with my laptop through N Type so it's not my laptop, it's something to do with my laptop and my router together, because separately they work fine.
Anyone have an ideea why this is happening?
Thanks in advice.
Andrei Savescu.

Try channel width 40MHz on the router and ensure the network is secured with WPA2-PSK, AES.
