how to update authorised key on TD-W8960N

I'd like to run a script on a QNAP NAS to reboot my TD-W8960N router periodically. I can do this manually using the following command from the QNAP command line (where "script.sh" contains reboot & exit commands)
ssh @ 'bash -s' < script.sh
However, it prompts for the password and I want to automate this.
I can generate a key pair on the QNAP, but my question is... how do I then update authorized_keys on the router?
(Just to confirm my router is a TP-Link TD-W8960N, but this wasn't in the pick-list when I posted the thread).
