Connected my router with pc and turned on wi-fi. Connection status is showing that its successfully connected. But when i turned on wifi on my smartphones it is unable to search/ open anything (browser, Fb, Wapp etc). I tried this on other phones and problem is same there as well. So i want to ask is this some setting problem or router is malfunctioning.
Give me some advice its still under warranty....

You can access internet on the PC connected to LAN port of TL-WR1043ND?
Any WAN IP address on its web interface?
Did you try to upgrade it, reset it to factory defaults and reconfigure it?

Router should be connected to internet not to PC
2014-12-23 20:50:31
As I read this correctly you connected the router to the PC via… (an ethernet cable or through Wifi?)
If so then there is no connection with the internet/outside world whatsoever.
You need to connect the router via ethernet with the incoming connection from your provider (The WAN side (Wide Area Network)).
You can then connect your PC via ethernet on one of the LAN ports (Local Area Network (local as in within your house.))
Or connect through Wifi from built in Wifi on the computer or Wifi-usb adapter to your router.
Then you can use internet, ping etc. (Also when you can use internet via Wifi on computer your other devices as Mobile phone or Tablet with built in Wifi can use the internet.)
Please respond because I'm wondering if I'm thinking in the right direction.
Kind Regards, Lamyrus

On router, there is a WAN port and four LAN ports, right?
WAN port should be connected to Internet or modem.
LAN ports can be connected to PCs by cable. If PCs have Wi-Fi, you can also connect them wirelessly without LAN cables.
