WDS between 841ND (Server) and 1043ND (Client) not working
Region : Hongkong
Model : TL-WR1043ND
Hardware Version : V2
Firmware Version :
ISP :
Dear all,
I have set below between WDS server ( 841ND) and WDS client (1043ND) but still failed.
(1) I updated the latest firmware versions to 841ND and 1043ND.
WDS Server 841ND
(1) set LAN IP: 192.168.0.1 , subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
(2) set wireless settings -> (a) channel: 7
(3) set wireless security -> (a) select WPA/WPA2 - Personal , (b) set version -> auto , (c) set encryption -> AES , (d) set wireless password -> abcd1234
WDS Client 1043ND
(1) set LAN IP: 192.168.1.1, subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
(2) set wireless settings -> (a) channel: 7, (b) enable WDS bridging, (c) select WDS Server SSID , select key type -> WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK, input WDS password of WDS Server
(3) set wireless security -> (a) select WPA/WPA2 - Personal , (b) set version -> auto , (c) set encryption -> AES , (d) set wireless password -> abcd1234
(4) Disable DHCP
Reboot WDS client and server.
I find that WDS Client Status is "Assoc..." and WDS client cannot ping 192.168.0.1 of WDS server Lan IP.
How can I make WDS works in my situation? Is there anything missing??
Actually I have tried a lot about below but failed and restore router to factory defaults and apply new firmware and try again.
(1) Set WDS Client to Server and WDS Server to Client. It means set both wireless settings of enable WDS bridging.
(2) Set WDS client WAN Network to connect to WDS server. Similar to connect by Lan cable.
(3) Use another router 940N to try to act as WDS server or client. But still the same.
It seems .......
