I see the same issue and it results in conflicting IP addresses. The device is set to repeater mode where the SSID being repeated is the DHCP server.
The error occurs if this TP-Link device is set to be a DHCP server or not. Assigning a static IP address to this device or changing it to dynamic still causes the error.
If the device IS set to be a DHCP server, devices that connect through it are assigned addresses from the SSID being repeated and NOT this TP-Link device.

Hola desde Buenos aires Argentina, me dedico a realizar conexiones wifi, y tengo varios productos de tp link probados,la mayoria funcionan mal, parece muy sencillo a la hora de configurar pero realmente no son buenos dispositivos,
este modelo el 701nd
Firmware Version:3.13.12 Build 120605 Rel.39102n
Hardware Version:WA701ND v2 00000000

lo logre configurar de la siguiente manera.

lo primero que recomiendo es que en el Router establezcan un canal manualmente, por ejemplo el 11.
En ves de AUTO cambiar a Channel Width: 20mhz. (con un software llamado wifi analyzer para android pueden ver que canales están libres o menos saturados.)
La seguridad WPA2 personal funciona ok.
DNS manuales los de google por ejemplo:
DNS1: 8.8.8.8
DNS2: 8.8.4.4

lo segundo que tienen que hacer es configurar el 701nd al lado del router wifi, asi no tenemos problemas de fuerza de señal desde un comienzo.(luego lo pondran en otro lugar, solamente configurarlo al lado del router, despues pueden empezar a probar donde repite mejor la señal)

lo ideal es lograr que la señal sea de 30db. cuando pongan el 701nd en la habitacion deseada, muevan la antena muevan el aparato de lugar, traten de jugar con el antennaligment, que la intensidad de la señal sea del 100%

bueno, tendria que ser asi:

- Modo: Repeater(Range Extender)
- survey: selecionan su wifi y luego ponen la contraseña.
- DHCP: deshabilitado
- Channel Width:20MHZ.
- Enable WMM (YES)
- Enable Short GI (NO)
- Enable AP Isolation (NO)

hasta ahi todo bien se comunican router y 701nd perfecto con 30db de señal.


El secreto es poner ip fija en todos los dispositivos que se van a conectar mediante el 701nd.
por ejemplo:
ip: 192.168.0.20
mask: 255.255.255.0
Puerta de enlace: 192.168.0.1 (esta seria la ip del router)
dns1: 8.8.8.8
dns2: 8.8.4.4

con esta configuracion tendria que funcionar bien, y no se corta tampoco hay q andar reiniciando los dispositivos.

cualquier duda, preguntar.

Nadie probo esta configuracion?

ahora lo configure con DHCP habilitado en el repetdor 701nd y tambien me funciona bien. obviamente que hay que definir el rango de ip`s entre el dhcp del router y el dhcp del repetidor.

pd: vamos no sean novatos y configuren sus dispositivo, y comenten que paso si funcionan o no.
