Hi all,
I'm newbie and know nothing about network/router.
I'm bit confuse how to get my routers working together.
I have W8951ND ADSL modem/wifi router and I also have WR2543ND wifi router.
I'd like to connect my HP Usb printer and also sometimes USB HDD into network so when I read that USB printer can be connected to WR2543ND I bought it.
And now I'm confuse how to get this things working together. I'd like to have WR2543 as extended router as well.
Please help me, step by step how to connect them all. Thx in advance

Computers and devices available to connect in to network :
Windows Vista PC
Macmini
MacPro
Desktop Win XP PC
ipad and iphone.

What kind of connection do you have between routers?

Hi,

You need to use the WDS feature:

Thanks for chime in,
I did what you refer on that link, somehow it's still not working.

The instruction to create WDS is working but I still can't access the USB device attached to the router.
I assigned the WR2543ND router to 192.168.1.100, using same DNS with the ADSL router, and I can access the router admin page, I'm sure the print service is online.
But still I can't print thru network.

Refering that link,
Which router as my ASDL router? And which router of mine is the 11N?

I should access my WR2543ND to setup WDS instead my ADSL router, right?

Yes, you have to set the WDS feature on the WR2543ND.
The status page must display "Run" to be OK.

In this case, the WR2543ND is not a router but only an AP, so you have to disable the DHCP server on it.
For all the devices the only router is the W8951ND which means the only gateway is 192.168.1.1 if it is its Local IP address.

I did set the WDS feature on WR2543 as I said before. DHCP also disabled, and I set the LAN to 192.168.1.2.

I can access 192.168.1.2 so I assume I did correctly setting WDS but now how to setup USB Printer and or Media Storage attached to WR2543?
TP LINK USB Print controller not detect any printer at all.

My printer is compatible, it's HP1510. I did check on compatibility list.

I don't understand, you replaced 192.168.1.100 by 192.168.1.2 ?

There is 2 separate issues:

1. Could you confirm that you can go to the web through the WDS bridge?

2. Is the print server started on the WR2543ND?

Issue #1:
To be sure that WDS is running fine, you must have "Run" in the Status page of WR2543ND and a PC connected to it must be able to access Internet...

Issue #2:
To print through the WR2543ND, a client software ( http://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/?model=TL-WR2543ND&version=V1#tbl_b) must be installed on the PC...
