Model: Deco XE75
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.14

Hi, My XE75V2 (US) (3-Pack) which i bought from Bunnings in Australia, June 2024, have progressively gotten worse with now many internet disconnections per day.  Lately what is happening is wired and wireless devices lose internet connection for about 3-5 minutes, but decos stay green during that time.  Tried power off and on in the past for other various disconnect issues to reset, but this is regularly happening now.

I have the main DECO connected directly to NBN Fibre to Premise box.  Decos connected to each other wirelessly.  Telstra is my internet provider.  I have replaced the Ethernet cable from nbn fibre box to main DECO and that seemed to help in the past with disconnect issues, but worse now.  I have seen multiple times the decos go red when disconnected, but lately now they stay green.

I have searched for solutions and tried disabling fast roaming, beam forming but still happens.

I have checked wifi interference and this lately returns that it is perfect!

I get the feeling that these might be failing/faulty as they are getting worse unless you have some solutions what I can try.  Otherwise it might be best to return under warranty while these are only 9 months old. These perform really well when working, but reliability is absolutely disappointing.

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

May I know how many online devices are connected to Deco? Would there be a lot of smart home devices?

- If there are plenty of smart home devices, there is a beta firmware that might help with the current issue and you can find it in the Message.

After that, it is also suggested to set different SSIDs for different networks, such as:

SSID#1 for 6GHz network

SSID#2 for Main WiFi network(enable 5GHz only)

SSID#3 for IoT Network(enable 2.4GHz only)

Then check whether the network instability mainly occurs in a specific band

Thanks a lot and best regards.

@Mark88888 I am having this same problem but on my XE5300 3 pack.  VERY annoying.  I have to power cycle the decos 6 times a day.

Hi, Can I have the current firmware version of your Deco XE5300?

How many online devices are connected to the Deco Mesh? Are the unstable devices mainly smart home devices?

Wait for your reply and best regards.

  @David-TP

I installed the beta update, but didn't notice any real improvement.

What i have done so far to find out what is going on.

1. Reset network settings on iphone and android phones - with no improvement.

2. Installed 'Net Uptime Monitor' on my  pc connected to a satellite deco to further work out what is happening.

3. Added all devices in the Deco App for Connection Alerts - email connection and disconnection.

What i have found i think is there are 2x issues for me.

1. Something is making 2x iphones and 1xSamsung phone constantly disconnect and reconnect straight away.  Only 20 devices connected over 3x Deco's. Everything else stays connected.  What causes these phone to continually disconnect and reconnect like 50 times a day each?  The phones are not far from the deco's and not moving around when this happens.

2. My Telstra Internet seems to disconnect for up to 6 minutes (mostly in the evening) and then reconnects automatically.  The Deco records the following critical items in the log file at that time the internet fails.  What does this mean?
