ok here it goes.... recently bought a TL-WDN4800 for my desktop, still it crawls, cant stream anything...
thats a file from the NAS connected via 1000mbps to the router (router is i-240W-A alcatel lucent)
current driver
and current strenght signal
now supposedly this is a "N" router - max speed 144mbps still i cant get it to copy anything faster than 1 MB/s anyways, i tried it with another router a linksys wrt54g (g speeds at most) still crawls doesnt get over 1MB/s, playing battlefield 4 is out of the question... laggsssssssssssssssss badly, when connected directly works great, so my isp/internet is ok....
any help out there ??

A laptop has a powerful internal antenna so it is able to get a good connection.
Nevertheless, your card has probably a malfunction requiring a RMA if it doesn't work better with the last Qualcomm-Atheros drivers 10.0.0.xxx

I experienced a lot of network troubles with Win7 64 Ultimate and replaced it by Win7 64 Pro.
I think Ultimate not reliable with wireless cards...

yes, i was reading about win 7 64 bit ultimate being the factor in which the wireless card didnt work... first i'm going to install it with a separate hdd to see if thats the problem, if it is i'm going to change my windows version but this will be time consuming because i have programs installed within 3 separate hdds :/

Same Problem - Solved! Needed an Atheros/Qualcomm Driver
2015-03-10 15:24:24
I was getting about 0.5Mb/s when other computers in the same room were getting about 20Mb/s. After installing an Atheros/Qualcomm Driver, I get the full 20Mb/s.
