Hello.

I've just bought the TL-WPA4220KIT to extend WiFi in my home. My router is TP-LINK TD-W8961ND.

I set up the WPA4220 to have the same wifi parameters as my router. Now I have full bars of wifi range, but I can't connect to the network. It says it can't obtain IP address. When I'm in the room with the router i can connect to the network, everything works fine... But when I return to the room with WPA4220 my WiFi disconnects and again I can't connect to it. Sometimes when I reboot both my router and the repeater I can connect to the internet in the room where the repeater is, but i can't connect to the network in the room with the router, so the problem is inverted... So basically i can't get two of the devices to work together at the same time without problems. I'm sure that the repeater has the internet, because I have it connected to my other PC by wire (ethernet cable) and the internet works perfectly.

My router's IP address: 192.168.1.1
My repeater's IP address: 192.168.1.2
Subnet mask: the same for both
SSID, encryption, channel etc: the same for both

What am I doing wrong? Please help.
