Thanks, but thats not really an answer to my problem. I can connect to my AP through my pc, the problem is my Chromecast cant connect properly to my AP.
After reverting to the previous firmware, everything worked again perfectly, zo something must have changed with the new firmware....

i have the same issue with the same firmware.
Chromecast cannot connect to the network (keep in mind that i have the device as AP) and i can't use it.

Do you have any solution in order to use my Chromecast with TL-WA801ND and firmware 3.15.9 Build 140425 Rel.44079n ??
Can you include this possibility to use Chromecast in your firmware (with a new release of firmware)?

Mr. harrytasker, how did you solve the connection issue? Only downgrade the firmware with the TL-WA801ND_V2_130121 version or did you do other procedures in order to connect and use Chromecast?

There isn't any solution without downgrade the firmware?

Antonio, change channel on AP to 1, 6 or 11 and try again. Maybe it helps...

no, I tried this and didn't help.
Tomorrow I will downgrade the firmware (with TL-WA801ND_V2_130121 version) of my AP and I will try to reconnect my Chromecast.
Keep your finger crossed :-)

I would like to know from Tp-Link developers why this incompatibility with Google Chromecast deviced.

I will let you know if all is ok after downgrade of the firmware (it's a not a friendly and helpfull solution for a product of Tp-Link).

i found the issue on the new firmware TL-WA801ND_V2_140425:
the issue is that you cannot setup the UPnP and so the ChromeCast cannot connect properly to the WiFi network.

Hope you'll find a solution or i (and other customers o tp-link users) will not buy other Tp-Link products.

Good news!!! New firmware to fix this problem is approaching!!

just contacted the support team, got to know that tplink has already noticed this issue, and the fix work is undergoing.

I'm having the same problem. Is there any update on this issue?

No: last september I opened a support ticket on it, answer has been "we will contact you back"
3 month later, I asked again, answer: "it's not realistic to release more than one firmware per year"
In one month the current (faulty) firmware will be one year old, I've just asked them again. Waiting.
