Remote connection for IP cameras

I am setting up my router to view my security cameras remotely. I can view them when connected the Wifi but when I access via dyndns I get to the webcam software landing page, enter the user name and password and get a message " connect failure". The router logs records " V2 igmb not matching our V3". any advice?
