Model: Deco X60   Deco XE75
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.5.3 Build 20231227

I have the following configuration:

2 x Deco WE10800 v2.6 (similar to XE75) - Firmware 1.2.14 Build 20241015

1 x Deco X60 v2 - Firmware 1.5.3 Build 20231227

Internet connection is 500Mbps

Main floor - WE10800 (main router)

Upstairs (2nd floor) - WE10800 (mesh node uses a wireless backhaul)

Downstairs (basement) - X60 (mesh node uses a wired backhaul)

The upstairs WE10800 gives reasonable performance over the wireless backhaul. I'm able to hit over 300Mbps when connected to the WE10800 mesh node. The downstairs X60 seems to be limited to a 100Mbps speeds when connected over a wired backhaul. I've run numerous tests while connected to then X60 mesh node, but I'm unable to get over 100Mbps download/upload speeds.

When I first setup the WE10800 with the X60, I did so without connecting the second WE10800 to the network. When the X60 was the only node connected to the WE10800, and I was able to hit speeds of over 300Mbps down/up. When I added the second WE10800 to the configuration as mesh node using a wireless backhaul, the X60's speed dropped to 100Mbps.

Why would this happen and how do I fix it? I've confirmed that the wired connection is capable of delivering 1Gbps speeds and that I'm using Cat5E cables. Even the wires in the wall are Cat5E. Why would the X60's connection drop to 100Mbps after adding a mesh node setup to use wireless backhaul?

Thoughts?

Hi, as there are 3 Ethernet ports on the WE10800, have you tried to connect the satellite X60 to another port of WE10800?

Did it make any difference if you deleted/reset the satellite X60 and added it back to the Deco Mesh?

If possible, it is also suggested to switch the location of the satellite X60 and WE10800 to see whether the Ethernet connection loss follows the Deco X60, or stays in the same location.

Wait for your reply and best regards.
