Hi!

I've just upgraded my ISP speed from 100Mbit to 1Gbit. I was hoping that WAN port on the router can handle 1Gbs LAN speed, as stated in the specs. Unfortunateley it is not. I've tested it with other cables, tested direct connection, connected WAN port to notebook - I've got everything working at 1 Gps (as windows connection properties stated) and real download speed (tested with uTorrent) at at least 22Mbyte/s (thats is about 200 Mbit/s), except the router WAN port. What it is connected to any device - it shows 100 Mbit connections, and when I use it to connect to the internet - max speed is at about 10 Mbyte/s.

So - how can I get my WR1043ND v1 to connect at 1 Gbps through WAN port? Can it be that v1 is 100 Mbit only and v2 is 1Gbps?

WR1043NDv1 has 1Gbps auto-negotiation ports. I do not know how is the performance at such high internet speeds. Do you have any modem from ISP?

No modem, just CAT 5e Ethernat cable with gigabit "something" on the other end. Direct connection (without router) gives me at least 200 mbit/s. I understand that the router can be a weak link here (for exampe see http://www.tp-link.com/lk/article/?faqid=465) but I want to see that WAN is connected at 1Gbps physical speed, at least.

I found warranty card, I'll probably take it in, may be they give me v2 as a replacement (dreams, dreams :))
