Model: Archer BE400
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.5 Build 20240911 rel.28762(5553)

Hello, so I have a tp link archer be400 wifi 7 router. After I updated to the latest firmware, UPNP stopped working. I can see the ports open in the UPNP section of the router but when I check it using websites like port checker, it shows they are closed. But manually forwarding the ports works and they show open on the website. Also when I create a guest network and enable bandwidth control, all the devices on the network lose internet access. When i disable bandwidth control, the guest network works again, this is the same issue for the main network as well because when i limit the bandwidth for individual devices, they lose internet access but without any bandwidth limit, the network works fine. I can't even revert the firmware as there's no way to download the firmware manually for be400 as it's all automatic. Please fix this or at least provide a temporary firmware or something if available, Thanks.

  @Senon1172k4  You are sure that updating the firmware caused the problem? I have never had anything similar in the past.

Well, I wanted to try downgrading and see if it would fix it but I can't as i can't download the firmware for be400 manually.

Hi @Senon1172k4,

Opening the port does not mean that the backend will respond to the probe request. It is recommended that you install a simple service (such as HTTP Server) on a computer in the LAN.
Make sure that the port is automatically mapped in the router UPnP interface.
Check whether the port is open through an external port detection tool (such as canyouseeme.org).

Please help us collect the following info:

  • Please export the configuration file when the issue occurs.
  • Provide a screenshot of the settings, including what the device prompts when it loses network?
  • Can you still access BE400 normally at this time?

  @Joseph-TP

So I tried playing ghost recon wildlands on my pc (connected to BE400) and the upnp table shows that the ports are being forwarded, but when I check it using canyouseeme, they show closed and even the nat type in-game shows strict whereas I tried using my old tp link archer ac750 which also has upnp enabled and the ports would actually be opened and the in-game nat type shows open. But whenever I put my pc in the dmz of my router(BE400)...all the ports and nat type shows open so i definitely know it's not a problem with my isp as I pay for a public ip address.
