Model: Archer C6  
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.13.6 Build 240430 Rel.54880n(5553)

In the web ui i go to advanced>network>internet>advance settings> dns setting: use the following dns addresses and put 8.8.8.8 in primary dns and 8.8.4.4 in secondary dns then save. But my dns is not changing to google dns that i filled it s still using ns provided by by isp. iI also tried factory reset but it is also not working. Please help

Hi @madhurop,

If you fail to apply or save the settings on the router, you can try the following steps for troubleshooting:
    1.Check whether your PC or mobile phone is still connected to the router's network.
    2.Confirm that the setting parameters you have entered are correct and meet the requirements of the router.
    3.Check whether the router's firmware has been updated to the latest version.
    4.Temporarily turn off the antivirus software and VPN on your PC or mobile phone.
    5.Reboot the router.

Hi  @madhurop,

Did you try to hard reset the router for a try? How to reset TP-Link router to factory defaults

May I know why do you want to change DNS?

  @Joseph-TP yes i already done hard reset. I am also attaching the screenshot of dns that i want to use but it is using dns provided by my ISP.

In my router I had to enter the DNS in the DHCP (Optional) settings also. I use an fiber ONT and have a public IP address.

 

I am far from expert just something to try

Hi  @madhurop,

If you click 'save' button, can you see any error message? Like' fail to save', etc.

If you change other settings, can you save it successfully? 

Please also consult ISP about if you can change DNS settings by yourself?
