Hi there,

I have recently set up parenting controls for my 10YO kid's phone. Their daily allowance is set to 30 min. However, I noticed the phone gets blocked first thing in the morning, before my kid has even set their hands on it.

I thought about it, and judging by the list of most visited websites (googleapis.com, etc.), it seems to me it's due the background app activities eating up the time. Apparently the router doesn't distinguish between active usage and background app usage.

Did anyone fave the same problem, and if yes, is there a workaround it?

Thanks,

Boyka

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

As both active usage and background system app usage would consume network data, Deco APP can't actually distinguish between these two network behaviors.

If you have subscribed to Advanced Parental Control, you can try to set scheduled internet off time.

Best regards.
