Model: EX511
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 0.7.0 3.0.0 v607e.0 Build 240930 Rel.11206n

I recently purchased a TP-Link EX511 router and am experiencing difficulties linking it to my TP-Link Cloud account. I have tried the process through both the browser and the Tether and Aginet apps, but without success.

In both cases, the router is detected on the local network, but when attempting to link it to the cloud, the process fails. I have reset the equipment twice, following the standard reset procedure, but the problem persists.

It is important to note that, apart from this cloud linking issue, the router is working normally and the internet connection is stable.

I would like to know if anyone has encountered this problem or if there is a known solution. Below, I detail some information that may be relevant:

  • Router model: TP-Link EX511
  • Firmware version: 0.7.0 3.0.0 v607e.0 Build 240930 Rel.11206n

I appreciate your attention and help in advance.

  • Modelo do roteador: TP-Link EX511
  • Versão do firmware: 0.7.0 3.0.0 v607e.0 Build 240930 Rel.11206n

Hi  @hedersacj,

EX511 is a customized device specifically designed for local Service Providers. Its software is tailored to meet the unique requirements of these providers, ensuring alignment with their specific needs.

Take TP-Link normal router for an example, please follow these steps to link your device to the TP-Link cloud:

Method One: Using the Tether app (for Tether-compatible models).
    1. Launch the Tether app and log in using the local password you set for the router.
    2. Go to More > Manager or Tools > TP-Link ID and follow the on-screen instructions to add an owner or manager.

Method Two: Using the web-based management page.
    1. Visit http://tplinkwifi.net and log in using the local password you set for the router.
    2. Go to Settings > TP-Link Cloud.
    3. Enter your TP-Link ID information, then click LOG IN & BIND. If you don't have a TP-Link ID, click Sign Up to create one.

We recommend contacting the technical support of your Service Provider who supplied the device, as they are best suited to provide the necessary assistance for your device.
