No internet connection after turning router off for a couple of days
Region : UnitedKingdom
Model : TD-W8960N
Hardware Version : V4
Firmware Version :
ISP : Utility Warehouse on BT line
Hi All,
Recently changed our modem to this TP-Link modem/wireless router (TD-W8960N) and initial set up was fine.
However, last week unplugged the router to decorate and since plugging back in two days ago have had no access to the internet.
A Kindle shows a full wifi signal however there is a small cross in the corner of the signal indicator and the Kindle also cannot get online.
Tried various totally non techy actions to try and fix, but having a totally untechnical brain, nothing has worked. Grrrhhrrr! :-(
Could anyone please please help me figure out what went wrong? There was no issue at all before being unplugged, so it's a total mystery as to why it's decided to say NO. Oh..I did try the power cycle thingy, but made no difference.
Accessing the internet at the moment via the old modem we had previously used, but this has no wireless or wifi capabilities.
Windows XP running system.
Help..please...thank you. :-)
