Windows 7 causes lost Internet connection

Hello - I have a TP-W8980 connected to the Internet via the ADSL2 feature. The Internet works fine with my Xp PC connected to it, or my son's win 8.1 laptop, or my daughter's win 8 laptop. It also works fine with the wifi connections we have (three tablets and a couple of smart phones). The problem I have is that when I log onto the network using my second desktop PC which runs Windows 7, after a minute or so we lose the ADSL2 connection for the whole network. This is true when the PC connects to the network via wifi or normal lan... It's not a PC hardware issue because I've changed the whole PC (except hard drive). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.....
