Torrents or P2P max out connections on TD-W8980

TD-W8980 ADSL modem router stops accepting connections if one of the connected clients is Torrenting or using P2P services.
This problem has also been documented with previous versions by the same manufacturer (TP-Link TD-W8960N).
The problem can easily be fixed with a config update by TP-LINK:
Please can you release a firmware update for the TD-W8980 ADSL to update the two values:
set value to "5" for > /proc/sys/net/netfilter/nf_conntrack_tcp_timeout_time_wait
set value to "16360" for > /proc/sys/net/netfilter/nf_conntrack_max
and persist these values in case of modem restart!
