Model: Archer CR1900
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 3.15.0 Build 140810

Hi everyone,

While scrolling through TikTok, I've noticed that some videos load slower or buffer intermittently on my network. I’m wondering if this might be linked to router settings or network configuration. Has anyone experimented with TP-Link features like QoS or other tweaks to improve streaming performance specifically for apps like TikTok?

Also, with the rollout of TikTok 18, there are some changes in how the app handles streaming. If you haven’t already, protiktok18. com TikTok 18 update—it might offer some insights or new options that could help smooth out streaming issues.

I’d love to hear your experiences or any settings you’ve adjusted to get a more reliable stream. Do you have any tips or best practices that worked for you? Looking forward to learning from this community!

Thanks in advance!

Hi @jimbrown1,

Archer CR1900 is an older model. According to its user manual, it does not have a QoS function.
If it worked stably before, but has recently become unstable, it is recommended that you check the ISP's network (for example, compare it with other modems).
If the ISP's network is stable, it is likely due to the aging of the Archer CR1900 device. It is recommended that you consider purchasing a new device.
