TP Link Archer AC1300 T6E PCIE Disconnecting Under Load
- Bought an AC1300 network card. Frequently disconnecting when under load.
- The connection simply drops and stays dropped, listing "limited access", until I manually disconnect and reconnect it via the wifi panel.
- This only happens under load, such as downloading multiple large files or heavy network connection use. Normal browsing and watching youtube is generally fine.
- Using 5ghz as 2.4ghz isn't giving me anywhere near the speed I should be getting. (60mb on a 500mb connection. Whereas 5ghz gives 250-300).
- Not a router or signal problem. Router is fine, no other devices connected.
- Windows 7 x64. Using driver version: "Archer T6E_V2_200508_Win7.zip"
- I have tried unsetting "Allow computer to turn off the device to save power" under Power Management in Device Manager.
Any ideas? Never had this problem with any other network card, but my old ancient one couldn't connect to 5gz so I bought this. Very dissappointed.
I also have to often reboot my router so it uses a5ghz channel 59 or below (rather than 149 or whatever), as the channel setting is locked, but I'm aware that's a separate issue and why that's a thing. Annoying, though. I have it set to prefer 5ghz channel so at least it does use it when I get the router using the right channel.
I've seen multiple posts about this but no hard solutions besides driver (which looks correct?) or switching off the power saving setting.
