In general, for better signal, higher speed and so on.

In particularly, I mean a router WR941ND and some of the TP-LINK wireless adapters.

Are there some objective reasons or tests proving it?

You have to test with DLNA on this firmware. I didn't give you any warranty for this solution.

It works better than original firmware which hangs the router.
