Model: Deco
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.2.4 Build 20241227 Rel. 63367

Hi. I had 4 e4 decoders. With more than fifty wifi clients (a lot of iot, which I'm trying to improve, but, for now, many of them go to the internet, to the hardware provider. This complicates the network, I understand. I have migrated a lot to zigbee, which seems to work better. But, replacing wifi devices in some cases is expensive, in others impossible). So my wifi network has to work with that number of devices. I thought that going to x20 would improve things, but, as I only replaced two, maybe it became more complex. Many of the iot devices work in 2.4. The devices that I could, and that don't move, I "forced them to stay in the x20 that corresponds to them". But, with the e4, it doesn't work. On the other hand, at this moment, the "fix node" option (or something like that, I don't remember what it said) disappeared. In short, many problems. Would this be solved by replacing the two missing e4s with x20? I don't want to buy them and see that they don't work for me. One thing that happens is that, when I move around with the cell phones, the network goes "crazy", and many 2.4 devices lose their connection. Then, everything stabilizes. Is there a way to measure what happens? Obviously, my house already works based on those 50 devices (4 wifi fans, 4 TV's, smart plugs that measure electrical consumption, the roomba and the mop, partial consumption measurements for each room, etc.). And I'm going to add more to be able to manage my solar project. So, it's not very convenient for me to try radical solutions, like setting up a separate network for 2.4, or things like that. I just want to measure. Or, I really want someone to assure me that it's worth spending on another 2 x20. Because of the chorizo structure of my house, I need to have several nodes. Well, excuse the length, but, I wanted to be able to show you the complete picture.

  @joluinfante

I do have about 30 iot on wireless (include 6 zigbee gateways)

another 30 on zigbee

I have 3 of X20

It seems like everything should be fine. but it is not

when all X20 online, sometime the connection are down by some iot device, they are connected and disconnected over the day and night which I could not ask for help from any technician.

I have to work on my own and disconnect X20 (the most suspicious that harm my network), then they all are stabilized. I have to lose some WiFi area because of it.

Note that every devices has at least fair connection, but they keep kicking each other like dominoes (IP conflicts or other problems)

I do the fix ip, address reservation for Iot devices and connection preferences, but yet the problem still exists

Nowadays I am trying to connect the third X20 into the network and find the problem. I think the software driver is the cause, I hope they could kill all bugs for me.

  @THSkipper I appreciate your honest answer.
Anybody else? I mean, there are two of us now, and I don't think we're the only ones with problems. We need to gather "signatures" so that, even if the problem can't be completely solved, the company will provide us with some kind of analysis tool (or explain how to use existing tools). The typical wifi analysis is kind of useless, because it gets confused with the republication of the sid. Obviously, it would be easier to have different sids, but we would lose the genius of the product. Well, please, community, complain or tell us how you fixed it. Another thing I noticed since I switched to x20, is that accessing from the internet is quite difficult. It tells me that the node is offline, and it takes a while. And it happened to an acquaintance (to whom I recommended tplink, and he ended up buying x20, and that's why I followed him).
Well, I hope for news from the community
Thanks!
