Tp-Link pa4010p - Powerlline adapters - Internet connection problem.
Good evening, I had a power shut down a few days ago and after that I lost internet connection through my powerline adapters.
Router operates normaly and I get internet connection via ethernet cable connected straigth to the router and a pc and I also get wireless connection.
I have 4 adapters. All lights are on and seem to work normally. Nevertheless on my ethernet network I get a message: Unandentified network without internet.
I have downloaded tpPLC app and have updated the latest firmware on the 4 adapters. Also I have tried the following with no result so far:
Now, I am at no 7 :-)
1. Initial Checks:
-
Ethernet Light: Verify that the Ethernet light is lit on the Powerline adapter connected to your router. If it's off, the problem might be with the router's Ethernet port, the Ethernet cable, or the adapter's port3.
-
الكهرباء Circuit: Ensure that the powerline devices are on the same electrical circuit1.
2. Reboot Devices:
-
Restart your router and the Powerline devices. Unplug them from the wall, wait two minutes, and then plug them back in3.
3. IP Address Configuration:
-
Make sure your device is obtaining an IP address automatically13. If you're using a static IP, manually enter the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS server information1.
4. Reset and Pair Powerline Devices:
-
Reset the Powerline adapters and pair them again1.
-
Perform a cold reset of all TP-Link devices, including the router: unplug all devices and the router from the wall, wait 15 minutes, plug the router back in and ensure you have internet, then plug in the adapters5.
-
Factory reset the adapters by holding the pair button for 15 seconds until the lights turn off and then back on. After they are reset, try pairing them again5.
5. Router Configuration:
-
পাওয়ার Cycle: Power off your modem and router for one minute, then power the router on first and wait two minutes. After the router is fully on, power on the modem and wait another two minutes before checking the internet connection2.
-
Connection Type: Confirm your internet connection type with your Internet Service Provider2.
-
DNS Server: Manually configure the DNS server in your router settings. Go to Advanced > Network > DHCP Server and enter 8.8.8.8 as the Primary DNS2.
-
Interference: Disable special settings like MAC Filter or Parental Control that may be interfering with the connection1.
6. Firmware:
-
Upgrade to the latest firmware for your Powerline adapters3.
7. Contact Support:
-
If the problem persists, contact TP-Link technical support, and provide them with your router's internet IP address, your modem's model number (cable or DSL), and the troubleshooting steps you've already tried12.
