Tether installed on Samsung Tablet, starts, terminates again. But works on my Samsung phone
Tether app works on my Samsung XCover5 phone fine. Installed Tether on Samsung SM-t580 tablet with Android 8.1, but when opening the app, it briefly shows the startup screen with TP-logo, then immediately closes again.

Yes, it seems that the operating system is relatively old. The latest TP-Link Tether version is 4.9.27, released on February 11, 2025.
If your tablet cannot run a newer version of Android, you may not be able to use the new version of the Tether APP.

The version of your tablet's Operating System is too low. It is recommended that you update the Operating System.
Or, please continue to use the Tether APP on your phone.

It is a 2016 model tablet and it tells me it has up to date/latest software installed, updated in 4/2020. Which I understand now that it may never again run newer apps (?) Or can I possibly upgrade to a newer Android version?
