Cannot see WiFi from Powerline extender

Trying to setup an Tp-link TL-WPA7617 kit as I am using a TalkTalk router the pair button setting to auto pass name and password does not work. Plugging both units into a double 13amp socket and pressing the pair buttons the led lights eventually settle but no WiFi 2.5 or 5 are found on my iPad. I have tried pressing the reset buttons on both units but still no WiFi signal is present.
I was hoping to set these units up having the same network name and password so it would work as a seamless WiFi network anywhere in my house.
I have been round the internet for hours but nothing works. Any ideas would be welcomed before I return the units as faulty.

Hi @Alir,
For your issue, please hard reset powerline devices as below:
For the models which start with TL-PAxxxx, press and hold the Pair button for 15s until all LEDs turn off and then come back on.
For models beginning with TL-WPAxxxx, press and hold the Reset button for 10s. Release the button and all LEDs turn off. When the LEDs turn back on, the reset process is complete.
Then refer to the FAQ to do WiFi clone again.

Hi, thanks for the information in your reply. I have now tried the resets you suggested a few times but there is still no WiFi network visible.
I have 3 solid led's on the Adapter. The extender has 3 solid led's as well.
With all the resets I have tried there is no WiFi network visible on my iPad only the main router and my printer.
Sorry but I suspect there is a fault with the units.

Hi, yes it is the WiFi led that is on. I don't have an Ethernet cable plugged in to it. My Ethernet cable is on the adapter.

@Alir I chatted with an online agent tonight. After a few times resetting to factory settings I am now able to connect to both channels.
I still have to work out how to make the system apear as one network and not have to join the new channels instead of the main router.
maybe this is not possible with a talktalk router.

Wi-Fi Clone should also be possible with a TalkTalk router.
But even if it doesn't, then just change the network names and passwords of the TL-WPA7617 manually to match those of the TalkTalk router. Make sure you do it for both frequencies, 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
