Hey everyone,

Have recently purchased and setup some X55 units.

I'm having some issues with the mesh connecting to some Blink cameras I have outside my house. In the picture below you can see my floor plans, the circle is the main X55 connected to my router, the squares are my 2 other X55's. All are on the ground. The orange block was a wall that has been knocked down. The trianlges are my cameras which are getting weak WiFi signal strength.

Any tips for best placement of my X55's or best settings? I have them on a seperate 2.4 Ghz network.

Thanks in advance!

To better assist you with recommendations, please provide the following info:

1. Does router have WiFi?

2. Do you keep WiFi enabled on router?

3. If yes for 1 and 2, did you configure Deco mesh with same SSID/password as router?

4. Open Satellite Deco page in Deco app, and for both Satellite Deco check what is says under Signal. Example:

In this example Signal is Fair.  Let me know what it says for Signal for each of Satellite Deco you have.

5. Your Blink cameras, do they support 5GHz or they are 2.4GHz only?

6. Do all cameras report weak WiFi signal strength or some of them?

7. Deco app should tell which Decos your cameras connect to. Do all cameras connect to nearest to them Deco unit? The ones that do, do they also report weak WiFi signal?

Hello  @Alexandre.

Thank you for your reply, my answers:

1. Does router have WiFi? Yes

2. Do you keep WiFi enabled on router? Yes

3. If yes for 1 and 2, did you configure Deco mesh with same SSID/password as router? No, I have created a different SSID/Password for Deco Mesh

4. Signal is Medium for both Satellite Deco's

5. Blink cameras only support 2.4 GHz.

6. Not all cameras have problems, the 2 at the back of the house and 1 of the cameras at the front report poor WiFi signal.

7. I can't see anywhere where it says which camera connects to which Deco unit. The cameras all connect to a Sync Module, to which the connection is strong.

Thanks again.

If I understand you correctly, all cameras connect to Sync Module, which in turn connects to Deco mesh. Then, you should see Sync Module in Deco app, and I am not sure what I can help you with if cameras report poor WiFi signal to Sync Module.
