Hi,

I am trying to setup and use my Archer C60 for WDS range extender

I have Hitron CODA-4582-ROG modem from my internet service provider.

I am following this article How to Configure WDS Bridging on TP-Link Dual Band Routers (green UI).

However I am facing issue at Step 4: Click Survey. On the pop-up window, find the SSID of your root router and click Connect.

When I click on Survey button ,  root router’s SSID is not showing in the list.

Not an expert on Network setup, Need some help here.

Thanks,

Pankaj

Can you please use some other device (for example a smartphone) to determine the Wi-Fi channel that is used by the Hitron modem?

Note that a "US" version of the Archer C60 can only use channels 1 - 11 in the 2.4 GHz band and channels 36 - 48 and 149 - 165 in the 5 GHz band.
An "EU" version of the Archer C60 can use channels 1 - 13 in the 2.4 GHz band and channels 36 - 48 in the 5 GHz band.

  @woozle

Thanks for your response.
At my Hitron modem

2.4 GHz Wireless is set for Auto(11).

5 GHz Wireless is set for Auto(36).

If the Hitron router uses channels 11 and 36, then the Archer C60 should be able to connect to the Hitron router.

What you could try is to enter the correct information manually into the fields "SSID (to be bridged)" and "MAC Address (to be bridged)" and then see whether the C60 connects to the Hitron router or not.

Hi, sorry for hijacking @woozle

I use a similar method with the Archer C80 and found setting the wifi channels manually so they are the same on each router rather than auto works best for WDS
