Hi everyone, I have a 200mbs plan (FTTC) with an old modem, actual speed 60mbs.

A) I do need to upgrade to a mesh wifi system, which one would be a good compromise between budget and future proof?

B) Do I still need to buy a modem? Just to be clear, the Fiber to the cabin wire comes out from the wall, there is a very old ISP Modem (I'm italian, it's TIM) that I use as main modem. If I buy the Decos they will replace it or I do have to still buy a new modem? And which one do you advice with a Deco X15/20?

Thanks :)

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

Do you have any WiFi 6 or 6G mobile devices? Or do you wish the New mesh system could provide some advanced features, such as the VPN server/Client, IOT network, etc?

Deco X15 or Deco X20/X50 would be a good choice. Deco X50 is more recommended.

Deco can also work as a wireless router and if the Fiber to cabin wire is an Ethernet cable, we could use Deco only without the ISP modem.

However, if it is a DSL/phone cable or coaxial cable, we still need to modem in between. If you plan to replace a new modem, It would be better to request from the ISP directly as it would have better network compatibility.

Best regards.
