When creating a custom Mobile ISP profile, please consider allowing APN Type to accept a custom string, e.g. 'default, supl, dun', which can be required for some carrier APN configs. In my Deco, the APN Type field currently only allows one of two values 'Dynamic' or 'Static' (which do not seem to be standard vales for APN type generally, which is confusing me a bit).

Hi, welcome to the community.

May I know your SIM carrier?

Did you save any ISP support articles/links that have provided more details about the customized APN profile items?

Wait for your reply and best regards.

Morning David,

My SIM carrier is Vodafone IE. A few days ago I purchased a new PayAsYouGo SIM from Vodafone to try in my X50-5G. From time to time, I try out different Carrier SIMs to get the best value/performance. This SIM would not work for me in my Deco router, but works fine in my mobile phone and a non TP-Link router.

Vodafone IE have different mobile products that use different APN settings. The SIM in question uses an APN called 'live.vodafone.com'
If I place the SIM in my Android mobile phone, I can read all APN values for 'live.vodafone.com' (which copy in from the SIM) in Settings as follows:

Name     Vodafone IE
APN     live.vodafone.com
Proxy     Not set
Port     Not set
Username     Not set
Password     Not set
Server     Not set
MMSC     Not set
MMS proxy     Not set
MMS port     Not set
MCC     272
MNC     01
Authentication type     None
APN type     default, supl
APN protocol     IPv4
APN roaming protocol     IPv4
APN enable/disable     APN enabled
Bearer     Unspecified
MVNO type     None
MVNO value     Unset

You can see the APN type value 'default, and supl' above. Currently there is no way to specify these values when creating a custom APN profile. I suspect, but am not sure, that the reason why this SIM is not working for me is because I cannot specify the APN type value above.
