ssh/tcp lag. (i don't know if specific to ssh)

10+ second lag with ssh to some hosts, others fine.
there's something really weird going on with tp-link 8970 that doesn't happen with tp-link 8960. some hosts (bsd'ish ones it seems) have problems with ssh where there are HUGE delays.. but sometimes by typing more letters more of them can come up at once. by huge i'm talking 10+ seconds.
also normal web sites often seem to load slower than normal. one linxu host seemed fine, and another one seemed "mostly fine". considering i use ssh regularly, i really need to find a solution.
