Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.3.0

Hi there, I am new here.

Today I have changed my two Zyxel access points for the Deco X60 (3 units)

I have connected the first (main) Deco X60 to my Zyxel T56 router.

The other two Deco X60 are on the first floor and second floor.

The Deco app on my phone tells me that everything is ok, all signals are green.

But when I am on the second floor there is no wifi anymore, no signal.

But the Deco app is still green.

If I choose the wifi on my phone it tells me the password is incorrect.

I have followed the instrunctions. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong here?

At one point in the instructions it says that I have to switch off the wifi on my router.

And then turn off the router.

Connect the X60 and turn on the X60 and turn on the router again.

The wifi signal on the router is back on.

Does that interfere with the fist (main) Deco X60?

Do I have to switch the wifi off again?

Hope you can help me out.

@Yrref "no wifi signal" and "If I choose the wifi on my phone": how can you choose the wifi if there is no signal?

Do you use the same wifi SSID on the router and on the Deco?  That could be a source of confusion.

Does the Deco app show that the three Deco are working well in the mesh?

Does everything works well when close to the main Deco?

@yves_b Thanks for the quick reply. Indeed, the same wifi name. I think that is the problem. But when I turn off the wifi on the Zyxel router there is no wifi at all. Although the DECO app shows that everything is OK. I changed everything back to my two Zyxel access points, because I work from home and need an steady wifi. I have decided to return the DECO X60 (and X50 outdoor) to the shop. Thanks for your help!
