Deco X50-5G - looking for external antenna

Hello guys,
I am currently looking for a 5G N78 capable antenna for the X50-5G.
I am Not able perfectly orientate the antenna so it should be an omni-directional one.
Is there a List of tested of recommended models which are known to have better Performance than the built in Antennas?

Hi, welcome to the community.
I'm afraid there hasn't been a recommended list for the 5G external antennas but there is a detailed selection guide for external antennas:
Install 5G External Antennas on Archer and Deco 5G Routers
Thank you very much and best regards.

I have used this one for 15 months and cannot complain.
I must also say, that now that I have finally had fiber installed, I am saying goodbye to 5G. I am thankful for the last 15 months ( It allowed us to move here and work from home) but I am ready to move to a real connection.

Sadly, every directional and omni directional Antenna i have tried for now is much worse when installed even outside compared to the internal antennas of the Router which cant be right because it is placed on the inside behind walls.

@erdnuss my device is in the basement. Without the external antenna I get 0 signal, with the antenna I get between 12 to 15 dbm Snr which is excellent. In my case the one antenna works, but that is only my case. I can not comment on your particular situation or other antennas as I went blind with this one, based on reviews, and luckily it worked for me.

that is what i would have expected but even the directional antenna pointed towards the cell is worse than the internal ones...

@erdnuss maybe the connectors? Or the cable? Did you add additional connectors or cable length to the antenna? From my RF days I know that adding more cable creates Stationary waves, cable needs (or used to be needed) to me matched to the wavelength used.
I added the screenshot so you could see I was connected to N78 as you need

@erdnuss also, just a dumb question. Did you disable the internal antennas in the UI? (sorry to ask, no insult intended 😂)

Yes, I did. The Poynting Antenna comes with pre installed cables, so they cannot be that bad.
There must be something wrong with the router. The feature is just useless (at least on my device).
