Hello Team,

I would like your support in configuring the network in the best possible way using the following devices:

AX 1500 V 1.0

AX 1800 V 1.0

RE 505x

I live in a 120-square-meter house with a ground floor and a first floor. The fiber optic connection is brought to the attic, from which a cable is distributed to the first floor and the ground floor.

I wanted to set up a MESH system with this equipment, but unfortunately, the AX1800 v.1 does not seem to support this option (at least I didn't find any information about it on the website).

In this case, which of these routers would you use as the main one located in the attic?

My plan was to set it up like this: AX1800 in the attic, AX1500 on the ground floor, and a RE505X extender on the first floor. This way, I could create a mesh network with the AX1500 and RE505X.

I would appreciate your help and advice on the best way to configure it.

Best regards

Hi, which region are you located EU/US etc as the Archer AX1800 is supposed to support oneMesh

edit: I assuming you`d be using easyMesh and not oneMesh ?  I think they are still compatible so long as tp-link

  @Muffinman

OneMesh for my version (AX1800 V.1) is not provided. That's why i am wondering what is the best way to set up my devices.

Keep in mind that this router model may not support mesh feature in AP mode - make sure AX1800 is in router mode.

If your AX1800 doesn't support any mesh feature, it could be used in AP mode to extend your wireless coverage at the ground floor.

AX1500 in the attic, AX1800 on the ground floor in AP mode (connected to RE505X via cable), the RE505X extender on the first floor.

This way, you could create a mesh network between the AX1500 and RE505X.
