Cannot access a device from the internet
![](/avatar/avatar-8.png)
Hi to all,
I have the following problem:
My ISP's router is connected via LAN to my main Deco M4.
- I have set port forwarding in my ISP's router for the port I need to the IP of the primary Deco (192.168.1.2)
- I have set port forwarding in my Deco for the port I need to the IP of the device I want to see from the inetrnet (192.168.68.20)
Both IPs have static reservation.
But still I cannot see it. Should I create a static route? TIA.

Make it simple: configure Deco mesh to run in Access Point mode and you can manage access to device through ISP Router configuration settings only, including DMZ if ISP Router supports it.

@Alexandre. Firstly, thank you for the answer. Unfortunately, by changing to Access Mode you loose features like parental control.

Hi, maybe you can check whether the internet IP on the ISP router to see whether it is a public IP first:
-You can compare the internet IP on the ISP router with https://whatismyipaddress.com/. They need to be the same.
You can also refer to the following suggestions to test whether the port has been open on Deco:
1. Connect the computer to the ISP router and its IP address should be 192.168.1.xxx.
2. Try to access the local server via 192.168.68.20:port number.
If the connection is successful, the port forwarding on the Deco part should be fine.
Thank you very much and best regards.
