Firmware Version: 2

Hi, I have an issue with my router, it is the second one that has done this, the first I just threw in the bin but I can't keep buying more each time the power goes off, basically it has been working fine but after a power cut it has gone into bridge mode, the previous did the same in exactly the same circumstance.

i have a starlink connection to a switch then a wired network, 2 other routers are still working fine but this one has gone into Bridge mode, is it possible to return it back to how it was? I have had it connected with an Ethernet cable to a laptop and tried restoring to factory settings but no joy. Do I launch it in the bin with the other or is there something I can do? I'm not exactly familiar with the technical stuff so have no idea what I'm doing with it really.

@Stushouse It sounds like the router is defaulting to Bridge mode after a power cut. Try holding the reset button for at least 10 seconds until the router fully resets. You may also need to check the WAN settings or consult the user manual for detailed steps. If that doesn’t help, you could consider reaching out to support before discarding it.

It is like a frustrating issue, especially with power cuts causing repeated problems. Since you’ve already tried factory resetting it, you might want to try accessing the router’s web interface through its IP address (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1). From there, By The Shocking Story you should be able to check the settings and manually change it from bridge mode back to router mode. If that doesn’t work, you could also try reaching out to the router’s support for more detailed instructions.
