Deco M9 Plus_V2/V2.2_1.8.0 Build 20241202 Rel. 38518
Phenomenon Description.
Recently, there was feedback that after updating to 1.8.0 Build 20241202, certain devices can't access Netflix, YouTube, MS Teams, or other Google services. While other devices seem to be ok on the same WiFi.
Possible Solutions:
The root cause still requires further confirmation at this time. We will keep the community updated once there is any improvement.
In the meantime, our engineer has provided a bridge firmware that allows for a downgrade from version 1.8.0 to the official version 1.6.4 without a factory reset so the original network configurations will not be messed up.

Hi, Thanks for the message.
Deco APP also displays the individual IP address of each Deco on the Deco APP, such as:
Are you able to access the IP address of one satellite and update its firmware first?
(PS: there hasn't been a new firmware yet)
Best regards.

@David-TP I was able to update my 5 satellites this way - but not the Deco unit in router mode (again 'device model' cannot be chosen - apparently this choice is only possible for satellites)... so with the router unit I am currently stuck with the old 1.6 firmware.
Will I have to change an already updated satellite to main router (and vice versa) - and afterwards firmware update the new satellite (the old router) ...? If this is the solution how exactly is it done? I just tried to switch the two units - but was not able to change the satellite unit to router mode (it is blinking red)... so I switched back. Will I have to reset both units first? Or could I make the satellite unit the new router BEFORE moving it to the router position - would that work? And how will the other 4 satellites react?

Hi, Thanks for the message.
Did you follow the instructions here to switch the main Deco:
How to replace the main Deco with another Deco- Case one
Switch it on the Deco APP first, then connect it to the ISP modem/router.
The other 4 units would automatically connect to the new main Deco when it is online.
Wait for your reply and best regards.

@David-TP but why can't I just update the firmware on the router unit... why this? Curious.
And should I physically exchange/swap the two units BEFORE or AFTER I change the main on the app... I do not want to get stuck doing this the wrong way. I don't see any mention of this in the link ...?

Hi, "physically exchange/swap the two units" is after "changing the main unit on the APP".
It is not an expected behavior but I can't explain why it happened. I'm also checking with the senior engineers for possible reasons and will update here as soon as possible.
Update:
Have you tried to power restart the main Deco when the device model is not loaded?
The engineer didn't provide many details but he mentioned a reboot usually helps.
Best regards.
