Problem configuring WR710N as repeater
Region : Belgium
Model : TL-WR710N
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version :
ISP : Scarlet BE
Hi,
I've tried to use this nano router as a repeater but acn't get it to work right.
I'm using :
- Modem from ISP which does the DHCP server in the 192.168.2.x range (IP : 192.168.2.200)
- Belkin N+ router which provides WiFi and MAC-address-filtering (IP : 192.168.2.201)
When I configure the WR710N as repeater, it works, but provides it's on IP address range of 192.168.0.x, thus I get no internet if I'm connected with a client on the repeated WiFi.
So I tried to change the WR710N's IP to 192.168.2.202, which also switches the IP range it provides to 192.168.2.x.
Once I've done this, the router completely disappears and it's not possible to connect to it anymore even at 1 meter distance.
Can someone help me with this?
Or does this router only work as repeater in 192.168.0.x range?
Kind regards.
Thomas
