Operation failed during setup via Tether App
I had factory reset the router as I forgot the admin password. I'm currently trying to setup easymesh with another router in the bedroom.
so by trying to setup the old router after I factory reset, the Tether App kept showing "operation failed" after I have selected it and confirmed I restarted the modem.
Ive done the restart multiple times but it's still showing this operation failed.
whats going on?

I doubt the EB810v router is supported by the Tether app.
The product website for this model states "Local management: WebGUI, Aginet app (for end users)"

As woozle said, it is an ISP customized device, you need to use Aginet APP to manage the router. For more details, you can refer to EB810v_User Guide
