Hi there,

I notied one issue with my Deco XE75 router that If my ISP is having an outage for any reason, the Deco main unit to stop detecting any of the devices plugged into the Ethernet ports.

 

I am using TP-Link TLSG2210P Network switch connected via ethernet port with my main deco router and my main deco is acting as DHCP server. And all my other home servers are connected to the network switch. Now if for any reason my ISP is down then I can't access neither my network switch web interface or any of my local servers connected to the network switch.
 
Can anyone suggest how I can configure my router or home network in a way sothat I still can access my local servers from my local devices in case of ISP outage?

Hi, welcome to our community.

Deco supports WAN/LAN auto-sensing. When the internet stopped working, there may be certain device in your network topology to act as DHCP server to assign IP address for other client devices, cuasing the problem you mentioned.  So may I confirm what is your exact network topology? Does the Deco network work as router mode or AP mode?  What devices are connecting to the switch?

It is suggested to connect the switch to the satellite Deco instead of main Deco for a try.

My Main deco upper 1st port is connected to RJ45 cable from my ISP and middle port is connected to TP-Link TLSG2210P Network switch. My router is set as Router mode and DHCP server is set to router. One Raspberry PI5 and one mini PC is connected to the network switch and working as home server. Another deco unite is connected to network switch via RJ45 cat6 cable and it's located in different floor.
