Hi, I just configured Deco mesh for my new house. Unifi router DLink connect to Deco X20 with 3 units. When access to Dlink Wifi I am able to get 500-600mbps speed. However when I connect to Deco Wifi I am only getting around 70-80mbps for either of the 3 units. Ran speed test in Deco app it shows 829 Mbps download and 209 upload. Saw from other post since 2021 here it is due to Firmware issue. I have not set QoS on Deco, set as Wifi Router. Already ran network optimization. Is there a firmware that can solve this issue or other solution?

Hi, welcome to the community.

Did the speed issue start recently?

 

It seems like The internet speed on Deco was capped at 100Mbps, and here are some suggestions for your reference:

1. Please set a different Deco as the main Deco. How to replace the main Deco with another Deco

2. If possible, set Deco into "Access Point mode": How to set up Deco to work in Access Point mode

Thanks for the warm welcome and suggestion.

 

I have bought the Deco x20 since 2021 but did not use it since the TP Link Powerline TL-PA8010P KIT is sufficient then. 

I just configured the Deco x20 last week and notice the slow speed especially on my 3rd floor coverage, which I had to use back the TP Powerline.

 

Alright, I will try the suggestion provide and update the results.

Hi @David-TP 

 

Update:

1. Switch to Access Point - done

2. Set different Deco as main Deco - done

3. Both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz - enabled

 

Speed has increased to 600mbps on main Deco, 50-70mbps on other Deco which is still acceptable for work.
