@David-TP Does it support these channels 149 (5GHz), 153 (5GHz), 157 (5GHz), 161 (5GHz), 165 (5GHz)?
Do you make some X50 devices that are physically incapable of supporting these channels. A few years back I got an Archer A9 which couldn't support these

Hi, It might depend on the hardware region code of your Deco, for example, the general EU version doesn't.
If your region only allows band 4 over 5GHz, like Bangladesh, or Indonesia, the hardware is customized and supports channels 149-164.
Best regards.

@David-TP Thanks!
So i need to avoid EU imported item?
Is there any code or somthing mentioned on the box that I can see and without opening the box know that 149-161 is supported?

Hi, Actually, the main point I want to emphasize is that, as long as the local WiFi regulations say only band 4 is allowed for 5GHz, the products sold through the local authorized retailers/distributors will prefer 149-165.
As for the box, it usually doesn't mention these details and you might only see, for example, Deco X50(US), Deco X50(ID), Deco X50(JP).
Best regards.

@David-TP Can you add an option to change the region, like in other routers?

Here’s a brief summary of Wi-Fi differences by region:
-
United States (FCC): Uses 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and recently opened the 6 GHz band. Common channels for 2.4 GHz are 1-11. The 5 GHz band includes channels 36-165, with DFS required for some upper channels. Transmit power is relatively high, allowing for greater range.
-
Europe (ETSI): Supports 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and limited 6 GHz use. Channels 1-13 are available in the 2.4 GHz band. The 5 GHz band includes channels 36-140, with DFS required for certain channels to avoid interference. Power limits are generally lower than in the US.
-
Japan (MIC): Utilizes 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and some 6 GHz. Includes channels 1-14 in the 2.4 GHz band, with some restrictions on the 14th channel. The 5 GHz band covers channels 36-64 and 100-140, also with DFS requirements for some channels. Transmit power limits are stricter, particularly for the 2.4 GHz band.
