The engineers has conducted a test and found out that it was the DoH/DoT settings that was causing the "no internet connection" and not the manual channel selection.
For now, I have turn on DoT, and use DNS mode as default, when Secure Mode is selected, all devices will lose internet connection.
Feedback has been sent to the engineers and they will update once the bug has been fixed. All is well now. Here's hoping Tp Link will release this channel selection to other models and series as well!

@Nicosilva86
Yes I did, only two choice, totally disable the DoH/DoT function.
Or use back DoT and then set it to another server. I'm using P2 dns by the way.

Thank you. So it's a bug from the Deco. No matter what DNS I use (I tried switching) it works for a while and then devices loose the internet access.

@Nicosilva86
DNS mode set it to default, previously on other older firmwares, I set to secure mode, and it is working.
But for this firmware, it will cause internet timeout, already reported to the engineers after trial and error. They identified the issue and is working on the newer firmware. Understood that it is lunar new year holiday, and most of the engineers are Chinese based.

Hi,
I have been observing for some time and on other networks that use Deco (any model) that the Deco are always on channel 44. When optimizing it, it never changes the 5Ghz channel, even though the channel indicates congestion. At least on my Deco X50 it never changed to any channel other than 44. Since we are about to have a new version of the firmware, could you check this too?
Thanks in advance!
