Tried to update directly to this 1.6.4 from 1.6.1, some of my devices keep showing up as "No Internet Connection" despite Deco X50 Led is showing green, and even on the deco app, it shows connected to the internet. Even standing nearby the Deco with full Wifi signal strength.

Rolled back to 1.6.3, same issue.

My last resort was to roll back to 1.6.1 and everything is working fine now.


Would advise to avoid updating to this 1.6.4/3 firmware, really crippled all of the internet connection.

It seems to me, the new function of selecting channel bandwidth has cause some major issues with the deco wifi and devices.

  @David-TP I was having same problem as other people in the forum, wifi clients getting disconnected and IoT devices flapping states. Just updated both X50 from 1.6.3 and the Wifi seems a lot more stable than before, for mobile phones and IoT devices, 1h already running this new version and no disconnects.

  @David-TP 

Try once more to fully reset all decos back to factory default , and restart the onboarding process, manage to get it running back, but the moment I play around with the Wifi Channel selection, the wifi breaks, it will not work anymore even if I set it back to Auto mode.

Suspect the new feature Channel Selection breaks the functionality of the Decos.



Can't attach the log file here, how can I provide the necessary details for the engineers to look into it??

5 attempts and finally got it to upgrade both X50 Decos.

 

A slight improvement as the devices have reconnected after the upgrade without intervention or powering off.

 

No disconnections after 4 hours.

 

CPU is always 100%.

 

The satellite X50 is either connected with 0 clients, connected with the correct number of clients, or offline.

 

Client connections are shown incorrectly for wired and wireless.

 

Connection preference is missing.

 

The 3 M9-Plus units have stayed online for the 4 hours.
