Model: Deco X50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.6.3

Hi, I have a problem when I try to configure my Deco x50 with PPPoE (ISP with optic fiber). My ISP uses VLAN 50 for internet (priority 0).

Deco x50v1: 1.6.3 firmware

There are 2 cases:

Case 1 (It's working successfully):

ONT (bridge mode) connected to x50, ONT is configured to tag VLAN 50.  In this case, the x50 is configured with user/pass (no configuration in "IPTV/VLAN" section).

This configuration is OK, x50 receive Public IP Address and evething is OK.

Looking in logs I see:

Thu Jan 16 05:50:45 2025 daemon.notice netifd: internet (2923): PPPoE Connect Device
Thu Jan 16 05:50:45 2025 daemon.info pppd[2923]: Sent PADT

Case 2 (here is the problem):

ONT (bridge mode) connected to x50, ONT is configured without tagging VLAN.  In this case, the x50 is configured with user/pass and in "IPTV/VLAN" section I configured a ISP Profile with VLAN 50 (priority 0).

Hi, I'm from Costa Rica, my ISP is ICE/kolbi (Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad).

Have you tried to ignore the VLAN tags and still configure PPPOE only on the Deco X50 to see what happened?  ---->>> Yes, that didn't work

Hi, How about MAC Clone here:

to clone the MAC address of the old ISP router

How to Configure MAC Clone on Deco if Deco fails to connect to the internet

Have you ever checked with the ISP to see whether they might require any other settings on the third-party router?

Wait for your reply and best regards.
